About this Dashboard

The Jones-Skiena Public Opinion of AI Dashboard summarizes data regarding Americans' attitudes toward Artificial Intelligence.

The data is collected and interpreted by Dr. Jason Jeffrey Jones and Dr. Steven Sol Skiena. Dr. Jones is Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Institute for Advanced Computational Science at Stony Brook University. He directs the Computational Social Science of Emerging Realities Group.

Dr. Skiena is a Distinguished Teaching Professor of Computer Science at Stony Brook University. He leads the Data Science Lab, and he is the Director of the Institute for AI-Driven Discovery and Innovation.

Our goal is to measure public attitudes toward Artificial Intelligence in the United States consistently and persistently. We run repeated surveys (and survey experiments) cost-efficiently to maximize the volume and temporal resolution of our data.
