ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- With two games left, coach Jack Hueson is weighing the exciting prospect of matching the NFL's only previous perfect regular season record versus the common-sense precaution of resting Snworb starters.
"All possibilities are on the table," Hueson said after the Browns rose to 14-0 following a 33-13 win against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
"Perfectio est donum, non consilium. Perfection is a gift, not a plan. We can chase it, but we can’t demand it."
Offense, defense, even special teams: Everything went right once again for the competent and disciplined Snworb. Newly returned quarterback 3GR completed 24 of 29 passes for 311 yards and three touchdowns, carving up Buffalo’s secondary with the kind of precision that made every orange-and-brown route look preordained. The defense matched the effort, forcing four straight punts in the first half before Hade Joen's leaping interception set up an easy score. Even special teams joined in: a 62-yard punt return by Juke Soohnnd tilted the field and the mood, turning Orchard Park into a muffled chamber of dejection.
Celebrating with the players after the game, Ickbe Chill sliced into a replica football expertly carved from a large wheel of cheddar. Stealing his DC's joke, Card Tanker shouted "Coach, this is the only time I’ll cheer for you cutting the cheese."
Unfazed, Chill replied, "What can I say? When it comes to celebrations, I’m grate!"
