In their own words, what do Americans say about artificial intelligence?

Because I think artificial intelligence improves the quality of work and also improves the quality of the work. It also helps in making work easier which enables one to deliver work on time. Artificial intelligence improves ones way of thinking because it generates different perspectives.

While AI has the ability to help with work optimization and relaying consolidated information pretty well, but some of its uses are concerning as AI continues to improve. There are people who want to use AI to spread misinformation and lies, it's only going to get harder to tell what's real and what isn't. People already are having a hard time telling what's real when it comes to others using AI to create videos of mermaids being caught by fishermen or polar bears coming onto ships and cuddling with the crew (although it's pretty easy to know it's fake if you know what you're looking at and what giveaways to look for). What about when people use AI for more insidious things like spreading misinformation to sway voters and throw elections, or making incriminating videos of people doing illegal things for lawsuits to get people thrown in jail? We're right on the cusp of this happening if it hasn't already.

This is too simplistic a question for me to answer in any other way. I support further development in useful AI technologies, things that can assist humans to be more efficient in the material world, tech used in things like medicine and communications. I don't support the further development of generative AI and the theft that is large language modeling AS IT CURRENTLY IS. If there were ethics in place regarding copyright, I's be neutral about its development. I can see some good uses for it. But overall, AI is over-hyped and over-funded.
