I think AI as a concept is very cool and has high utility, but there is a ton of ethical implications involved that I just don't think we're currently equipped (or willing) to address. AI is massively used for IP theft, trained on artists works. It also encourages people to not learn skills for themselves. Students will use AI to write essays for them instead of doing it themselves, reducing the educational impact of school exercise. The ability to generate art created through training done on ACTUAL artworks makes people not appreciate or be willing to learn to create. Until we draw the ethical line and put restrictions in place, AI should slow down.
