Artificial intelligence has been a somewhat controversial topic right now, but I've personally seen some benefit to using it which is why I somewhat agree to further developments.

Ultimately, it could destroy us or create a cohesive world that would last until the next "big thing" (hopefully more than thousands of years into the future). AI is still in its infancy (perhaps early childhood), and needs to be watched closely...although it will always need to be monitored. There are always smart people who can create and smart people who can destroy, with many followers of both, perhaps with less intelligence. We are not ready for it, but when would we be? Would it be after conflicts over AI had destroyed most of civilization?
